David was one of the original elders at Grace Bible Church. He has been married to his lovely wife Sharon since 1991. They currently have nine children (with one one on the way)! They are, from eldest to youngest, Isaac, Faith, Peter, Matthew, Michael, Ruth, Bethany, Nathan, and Mary. David graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Sharon’s time is devoted to teaching the children at home. The Westerfelds are a third generation farm family and they reside on a farm purchased by David’s grandfather in the early 1900s. The family’s time is spent raising cattle, tending to chickens, milking their cow, “Oreo” (loved by many at the church), growing wheat and corn, and many other activities that accompany the life of rustic simplicity. For the community at Grace, this family is a breath of fresh air. Their pleasures involve attending church, traveling together, going on various mission trips, and working together.
