Elders
Joe Nolte
Joe is one of the original elders at Grace Bible Church. He has been married to his lovely wife, Sharon since 1989. They have four children, one son-in-law and a grandson. Their children are from oldest to youngest, Jordan Stern (wife of Brandon Stern), Hannah, J.D., and Rebekah. Joe graduated from Tarleton State University and is currently a partner in a family business in which they manufacture roof and floor trusses. Sharon keeps busy homeschooling their youngest daughter, Rebekah. They enjoy spending time with their children (and grandson!), which typically includes watching their children play basketball, football, or baseball.
David Westerfeld
David was one of the original elders at Grace Bible Church. He has been married to his lovely wife Sharon since 1991. They currently have ten children! They are, from eldest to youngest, Isaac, Faith, Peter, Matthew, Michael, Ruth, Bethany, Nathan, Mary, and Daniel. David graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Sharon’s time is devoted to teaching the children at home. The Westerfelds are a third generation farm family and they reside on a farm purchased by David’s grandfather in the early 1900s. The family’s time is spent raising cattle, tending to chickens, milking their cow, growing wheat and corn, and many other activities that accompany the life of rustic simplicity. For the community at Grace, this family is a breath of fresh air. Their pleasures involve attending church, traveling together, going on various mission trips, and working together.
Perry Garrett
Perry is the teaching pastor and one of the three elders at Grace Bible Church. He grew up in Gatesville, TX where he met his lovely wife, Tanna. He and Tanna were married in January of 2004 and they have been blessed with two children, Madeline Grace, and Christopher Titus.
Perry received a B.A. from The Master’s College in Santa Clarita, CA in biblical studies and is currently working on a Th.M from Dallas Theological Seminary.
He and Tanna began ministry at Grace Bible Church in Gatesville in May of 2008. He thoroughly enjoys spending quiet evenings with his wife and children, reading books, watching Cowboys games (and other sports activities) and being with God’s people.
